Why TwinCentral exists and what we believe.
We Believe:
|
 |
The Inspiration of the Bible
We believe the Holy Scriptures, composed of the thirty-nine books of
the Old Testament and the twenty-seven books of the New Testament, are the
verbally inspired Word and Revelation of God. The Bible is inerrant,
infallible-God-breathed. The initial miracle of divine inspiration
of the original autographs also extends to the divine preservation
of a pure text to this day.
(Psalm 12:6-7; 19:7-11; 138:2, 2 Timothy 3:15-4:1, 2
Peter 1:16-2:1, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, Luke
24:13-28, John 16:12-16, Isaiah 40:8) |
 |
The Trinity
We believe in the Triune God-God the Father, God the Son, and God the
Holy Ghost-coequal and coeternal. Each has His individual identity and
separate responsibilities for the purposes of redemption, yet perfectly
united as three Persons in One.
(1 John 5:1-8, John 16:7-18, Genesis 1:26,
Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10-11, Matthew 28:18-20, Luke 3:22) |
 |
The Deity and Virgin Birth of Christ
In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, as the only
begotten Son, in
His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, substitutional death on
the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension to the Father and His
personal return in power and glory.
(Luke 1:31-32; 24:39, Acts 1:9-11; 2:22; 10:37-38, Hebrews 1:3; 7:26-27, 1 Corinthians
15:3-6, 2 Corinthians 5: 21-6:1,
Matthew 1:18-25; 28:6, Philippians 2:9-11)
|
 |
Regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely
essential for the salvation of sinful man; a person must
experience a spiritual rebirth. Only through the power of the
Holy Ghost is the Christian able to live a more godly
life. (Romans 10:12-13, Ephesians
2:8-10, Titus 2:11, Titus 3:4-8, Romans 8:16, Ephesians 4:24,
Titus 2:12) |
 |
There is a resurrection of both the saved
and the lost—the saved to eternal life in heaven, the lost
to hell. (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17,
Romans 3:23-24, 1 Corinthians 15: 51-52, Revelation 20:11-15,
Revelation 21:6-8) |
 |
Jesus Christ rose from the dead and is
returning soon. (Zechariah 14:4-5,
Matthew 24:26, Matthew 24:30, Revelation 1:7, Revelation
19:11-13) |
 |
The Great Commission of the church is to go
into the entire world and preach the Gospel to every person,
using every modern means of communication available to
us. (Mark 16:15, Luke 14:23, Matthew
28:19-20, Acts 1:7-8, Mark 16:15 -16)
|
 |
In the spiritual unity of believers through
the working of the Holy Ghost and the Lord Jesus
Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-13, Psalm
133:1, Philippians 2:1-3) |
 |
We believe in holy Christian living, and we
must have concern for the hurts and social needs of our fellow
men. (Colossians 3:12-14, Romans
15:1-2) |
 |
We believe we must dedicate ourselves anew
to the service of our Lord and to His authority over our
lives. (Colossians 2:9-11, Ephesians 6:7-8)
|
|
|
Further,
|
 |
We believe man's nature is sinful and divine grace is
necessary for faith or any good deed. |
 |
God elects or reproves on the basis of foreseen faith or
unbelief. |
 |
Christ died for all men and for every man, although only
believers are saved. |
 |
A person can resist God's grace. |
 |
A person can lose his salvation by committing
apostasy, i.e., voluntarily falling
back into a lifestyle of sin after
being saved - to the point where the person becomes totally
convinced that the God of the Bible is not real. (Called
blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, the unpardonable sin.) |
 |
The concept of individual predestination to
Hell is an apostasy. |
