Who Are We?
And Why Are
We Hiding Behind This Website?
We're
not hiding. Really we're not. We just can't be there any other way. Only God can
be everywhere. We believe in the Bible and
how it teaches us to go
out to the entire world and preach the Gospel
to every person, using every modern means of communication available to us.
Well, we could send mail to everyone, but that would be expensive. We could call
you, but that would also drive up costs. We'd think about driving to your house,
but you might not be home when we got there. So,
we set up this site, complete with interactive forums. It isn't cheap, but it
beats giving AT&T & the USPS all of our money. We'd rather give the
funds at church. Back
to why you're looking at this, and that is just who are we? In the large view,
we are a bunch of Jesus loving Christians, believing in the Bible as God
intended, with no extra coloring and no omissions. In the smaller view, running
this site is handled by just a small number of folks, namely me. My name is
Ralph and I live in Arizona. Yes, it is a dry heat, so put your joke book away.
We don't have to shovel snow, so there. I
was born near the tail end of the "baby-boomer" generation and now
must watch as the Gen-Xers, the Gen-Ys and others try to cope with the ways of
the world. I know this well, as I am raising four children of my own, who are
the reason for the site name. See, Arianne and Katilynn are twin sisters, and
brothers Shea and Trevor, 14 months younger, are also twins. The girls are seven
years old and the boys are almost six. Pretty much anywhere we go turns into
TwinCentral. And that, in itself, can be an experience. And
yes, my vehicle of choice is a minivan. A Chrysler Town & Country Praising
God Dadmobile, if you will. As
a divorced (not by choice) dad (definitely by choice), watching the world change
so dramatically in recent times, I knew I needed some help (actually a lot) to
keep my children morally and spiritually on the right track. So, I went looking
and praying for answers. I'd been away from Jesus for many years, but never
forgot Him and never stopped believing. It just wasn't convenient for me
to follow His teachings. Or so I thought. I was praying one night and got the
urge to listen to an old Don Francisco album (Forgiven) from my
collection and heard the song I Don't Care Where You've Been Sleeping.
What I didn't realize, at the time, was God was trying to tell me something.
But, the song stayed in my head. The
Lord sent me Pam, who has been a great help in stabilizing my previously
upside-down life, and assists in many wonderful ways with my children. Pam,
while not closely following the bible, allowed me some time to pray more. I
needed this, because something was still missing and I wasn't sure what it was.
I was sitting around, listening to more music (music speaks to me) and God gave
me a nudge to listen to some more Don Francisco, plus some vintage Keith Green
& Larry Norman songs. I'm not 100% certain, but I think Step Across The
Line did it. The light returned. I knew that, to deal with the world and to
raise my children properly, I had to fully allow Jesus back into my life. The
basis was always there, having been raised a God-fearing child who discovered
Jesus & the bible on my own in my mid-teens (I was raised in the RCC, but
left as soon as I knew I'd not be grounded - at 18). I just had to find my way
back. It wasn't hard - all I had to do was ask Jesus back, to invite Him and
work on turning my back on the ways of the world - the Holy Ghost took hold of
me and filled me with wonder. Again. Praise God! I
have experience running online communities and am no stranger to being online.
One thing led to another and I had this server space sitting around unused. So,
after a lot of prayer (God was nudging me again) and the alienation of a few
superficial & false friends (no big deal there), our forums appeared,
and are being followed by the rest of this ministry's pages. The
twins are all in support of this ministry and I hope will be contributing soon.
They were all reading not long after their fourth birthdays. As we grow, we'll
also be adding some other assistance and input as God allows. You
may find some things around here which you don't agree with. Please remember
that we work with things of God and the bible and not of man. We do not intend
to attack anyone, and try to go out of our way to not come off as anything
negatively personal. But the bible is not all about goodness, happiness and
convenience. We do not subscribe to doctrines, religions and other man-made
beliefs, designed to further the ideals of a person or groups of persons.
Instead, we choose to follow God's way of worshipping God. In spreading the
Word, doctrinal and religions teachings may take a hit. So, if you feel
offended, instead of filling your heart with hatred, pick up your bible and
actually read it. Understand that we share the Gospel out of love for our
brothers and sisters. We are not, however, a seeker driven ministry. It is easy
to follow Jesus, but it certainly is not convenient. If you decide to pick and
choose from God's teachings, you're putting your soul in danger of eternal
damnation. We choose to follow all of God's Will. Stick
with us. We'll be adding more and more faith articles, bible truths &
proofs, encouragement and bible teaching as time goes on. Don't let darkness get
hold of you. Jesus doesn't care where you've been sleeping - he just wants you
to take a step across the line, leaving the old worldly person behind and
guaranteeing an eternity of happiness at His side. Praise
God with every breath. Your
brother in Christ Jesus, Ralph
